Today we had already uploaded are 45 minute long filming of Big Ben, we used todays lesson to compact it and make it into a time span. This was difficult to do at first as the file was very big but we got it done in the end

Uploading...
24th February
This is are first time of getting together after half term and doing the filming, we started to upload are video which was a long process as we had up load the Big Ben filming for over 45 minutes! This used up most of are lesson time, so why we were doing this we got up to date with our blogs!

Filming
February 16th
Today we met at East Croyden at 9 am. we caught the train to London Victoria which got us there for 9:30 am, we then got a tube to Oxford Circus which we then started filming. After getting a few scenes filmed such as the first scene where two characters collide. We then made are way to Westminster where we walked along to south bank and filmed Big Ben for 45 minutes. On are way to South Bank we got asked to stop filming on the tubes as they do not allow this without written permission.
After filming the rest of our scenes on South Bank, we made are way to a local coffee shop stopped and discussed what we did, we realised we still needed to filming the 'Kidnap scene' and we were in the perfect location for it.
When filming the Kidnap scene this involved Laura being dragged behind a wall. This soon lead into people getting suspicious and being stopped by the police, they were very friendly and understanding and let us carry on filming as they were just questioning what we were doing.
We ended up finishing filing by about 6pm we then went to a bar and the this foll wed by us ending up in a random club. Jasmine was looking after the camera, but then ended up getting very drunk and 'miss placed it' after about half an hour of looking for it annabel finally found it .. looks like we got out of a bill from college!

Talking through filming
February 9th
Today we planned times and dates that we would meet up to do our filming, we decided that seeing as we would be filming in London we would need to meet up outside of college. We decided to meet Monday 16h February for our first day of filming.
We also needed a male to help us with our filming so we phoned a few friends and managed to find the right person for the job!

Writing a script
29th January
Today we got a script together, this involved listening to each others ideas on what characters will say throughout the filming, and exact locations etc.

Doing are Presentation
Thursday 22nd January
Today we voiced are presentation to the class, this involved speaking clearly and generally presenting well so that people can hear us clearly and don't get board.
Overall we think that are presentation went well because we mentioned everything we had to say about are film so far, and the audience seemed to be interested in what we were saying. If we could do it differently we would be more prepared for the questions that were asked at the end, as there was one we were unsure about, and if we were fully prepared we would have been able to answer it.

Today we needed to finish are PowerPoint presentation, we added a few more slides and made it look more presentable and professional so the audience don't get board when we are speaking.

Synopsis
8th January
In our group (Pink Productions) we have been given a task to shoot a 2-minute film and our group have chosen to film under the genre Chick flick/Crime. At the beginning of the sequence we start to introduce the characters, we have chosen to have four young girls for the main location where we will be shooting most of the film. The film starts by hearing fast upbeat music, continuing with this music the camera shot will then do a quick cut to a girl putting on pink lipstick, however you can not see her whole face you only see from her chin to her nose. The camera will then pass to another quick cut to the second girl putting on her red stilettos. This will be a close up of her feet, putting the high heels on, and again you do not see her face this scene will end with the girl walking off and the camera will go to a close up. The third girl you see her putting lots of hairspray in her hair, which will make it misty around the camera , this will then dissolve into the final and forth girl putting her coat on and walking out of the door without seeing her face or any of the other girls faces.
We then see the four girls making their own way to London still without seeing any of their faces. One of the girls travels by bus; the camera focuses on the lower part of her body and not her face, close up shots and tracing of her walking, then stepping on to the bus. She then takes her ipod out, the camera does a close up of the ipod of her selecting a song. When she does, the music starts which will go faster and upbeat, when we see her turn the sound up, so does the music. this when cut to a close up of the girl tapping her stiletto to the rhythm of the music. the camera shot then dissolves to the second girl, the camera will be following her stilettos as she walks, tracking, and you see her bump into another person. She drops her things such as lipstick, compact mirror, and makeup. She starts to pick her items of the floor and as she picks up the compact mirror , the camera quickly zooms into the mirror to the third girl whilst putting lip-gloss on. She quickly shuts it and then we see her reading a magazine at a low angle shot so we cannot see her face. The final girl we see a close up of a carton of coffee, we see her pick it up, the camera still in the same place,then she puts it down again with a lipstick print around the rim of the carton. As the train stops in london station, the camera will do a quick cut for each girl coming off the train and making their way into the town centre, this will involve tracking. The four girls all walk in at the same time and as the do, the camera slowly zooms up from their stilettos up towards their faces, and finally we see their identity.

Getting together
12th January
Today we got back to each other with our final ideas, we decided how we are going to introduce the characters into out filming and how they would come across to the viewers.
We have also written a synopsis to finalise our ideas.

Development-creating ideas
6th January
Today we thought of different ideas for our film, this included characters involved, locations we would use for filming, and a possible script.
Today was used mainly as a discussion we voiced our ideas and went out of the lesson to get more. Then we will used next lesson to get all our ideas together and come up with more.

Today we got assigned a task of our Unit 321 the foundation practical main task, this included getting ourselves into groups and picking the genre we would be filming.
Jasmine, Annabel and Laura-Jane all got into a group together and decided that the genre we would do is Crime/Chick Flick.
We came up with the idea of our production name to be 'Pink Productions' as this represents the theme of our film.
